Cardiopulmonary Secretary
Job Summary:
The department secretary will perform all secretarial duties in a timeframe consistent with hospital policies and have reliable time management skills.
- will answer calls and schedule appointments for stress tests, ECHOs, PTF’s and other tests/procedures completed in the department both electronically and manually.
- will answer and respond to patient requests promptly by informing appropriate staff members of patient’s request and ensuring effective resolution while maintaining professionalism.
- will assist with obtaining reports, down-loading records to other facilities, scanning reports into the patient’s electronic records and other general clerical duties as directed by the department leader.
- Other responsibilities include preparation of patient charts, labeling of patient records, filing of paper charts, and may include assisting with insurance authorizations.
