LECOM Health offers a full continuum of care from Independent Living and Personal Care apartments to Skilled Nursing Care and Outpatient services including In-Home Care, Home Health, and Hospice under the direction of the LECOM Institute for Successful Living.

The Institute for Successful Aging is currently seeking Full and Part Time Housekeepers in Erie, PA to perform duties at either one or more of the facilities within the Institute.

**To help attract the most qualified applicants, we have increased our starting pay rates.

Per Diem employment options may also be available.

Summary:

Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of housekeeping duties focusing on cleaning techniques in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment; and perform related work as required.

Job Summary:

Prepare and cook food for all patients and café customers per menu provided.  Consults with Head Cooks/Dietary Manager concerning recipes, amounts of food and portion size. Oversees and assists with daily food production and flow of the Dietary Department in absence of Head Cooks or Dietary Director (weekends/holidays). Supervises Dietary Aides and Café cooks when Head Cooks/Dietary Manager is not available (Evenings/weekends). Assists with maintaining the Dietary Budget by assuring proper management of food and supplies. Carries out special function events related to food services. Assists with patient satisfaction of Food Services by assuring special diets and requests are adhered to. Performs duties of the Head Cooks in their absence.

Characteristic job tasks and responsibilities:

  • Complies with high standards of food preparation and service.
  • Follows Erie County and PA Department of Health Regulations and Standards.
  • Maintains sanitation and safety standards.
  • Cooks’ patient and cafeteria food items, all special orders and luncheons, observing recipe specifications and changes.
  • Able to read, follow, and adjust recipes for portion control as needed.
  • Able to modify recipes to meet the needs of therapeutic diets for patients
  • Serve appealing food in proper serving sizes promptly.
  • Maintain neat, safe, and sanitary work area at all times.
  • Take inventory of all leftovers, use them in appropriate recipes and cook alternatives when necessary.

Corry Memorial Hospital is seeking a full-time housekeeper to join our team.  

Job Summary:

Cleans and services building areas according to established procedures.  Moves furniture, equipment and supplies throughout facility.  Performs a variety of environmental services duties to maintain the facility in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition.

Characteristic job tasks and responsibilities:

  • Selects cleaning materials and supplies and prepares solutions according to procedure. Loads service cart and transports to work area.
  • Cleans assigned areas by washing furniture, tile, fixtures and equipment with germicidal cleaning solutions.
  • Cleans assigned areas by washing walls, doors, door frames, ceilings, vents, patient televisions and windows; strips and applies floor finish and polishes floors.
  • Mops and buffs floor areas, vacuums carpets, spot cleans floors and carpets, using appropriate solutions and arranges furniture and equipment back in an orderly fashion after cleaning assigned area.
  • Requests cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Cleans equipment and notifies supervisor of equipment needing repair. Reports safety hazards to supervisor.
  • Follow instructions regarding the use of cleaning materials and supplies in accordance with OSHA and Institutional Safety Protocols
  • Returns unused supplies to proper place, cleans carts and equipment and ensures all items are replaced in an orderly manner.
  • Climbs ladder to reach high areas for cleaning purposes.
  • Collects waste from all areas of facility, sanitizes trash cans and keeps waste disposal area sanitized.
  • Assists in collecting and distributing soiled or clean linen.
  • Collects hazardous waste in manner established by the Infection Control Committee.
  • Cleans rooms after patients have been discharged or more frequently if needed.  
  • Arranges furniture for meetings, workshops and facility affairs, as requested.
  • Shovel/Salt sidewalks as needed if maintenance is unavailable.
  • Performs other related duties as requested by supervisor.

The LECOM Institute for Successful Living, is seeking Personal Care Aides and Med Techs to work varying shifts in our independent living, apartment style, personal care facilities throughout Erie County.

Although NO CERTIFICATION nor previous experience is required to apply for this position, individuals who currently hold a valid Med Tech or CNA license are eligible for an increased starting salary.

Medical Assistants who desire a direct patient care position are also well qualified for this position.

Summary:

Qualifications:

Education/Registrations:
1. Medical School Graduate, MD, DO

The Emergency Room (ER) Physician is a highly skilled medical professional responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in the emergency department. This position involves working in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, providing emergent care to individuals with acute illnesses or injuries. ER Physicians collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), and specialists, to ensure the best possible care for patients.

CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:

Perform thorough evaluations of patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions and emergencies.
