LECOM Institute for Successful Living is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Erie, PA. This position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day HR functions including onboarding, employee relations, compliance and training.

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary resource for the front-line staff of the facility to assist with Human Resources related concerns;
  • Be the primary resource to provide consistency and fairness in Employee Discipline;
  • Be the primary resource to assist the facility and guide new staff through the Onboarding process;
  • Assist with candidate outreach, scheduling and conducting interviews;
  • Present job offers and collect required information/documentation;
  • Assist with Orientation presentation to the facility;
  • Process Timecards, Payroll Prep and payroll issues;
  • Maintain facility’s Employee Files and process changes as needed;
  • Process Workers Compensation data entry, accident investigation and OSHA Logs;
  • Process Unemployment forms and Employment Verifications;
  • Employee Benefit Administration;
  • Assist staff with login issues to facility systems;
  • Credential Track license renewals and education completion;
  • And other Human Resources tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in an HR or administrative role is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and HR software systems (experience with Kronos is a plus).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
  • Flexible schedule – ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
