LECOM Institute for Successful Living is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join our team in Erie, PA. This position is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day HR functions including onboarding, employee relations, compliance and training.
Responsibilities
- Be the primary resource for the front-line staff of the facility to assist with Human Resources related concerns;
- Be the primary resource to provide consistency and fairness in Employee Discipline;
- Be the primary resource to assist the facility and guide new staff through the Onboarding process;
- Assist with candidate outreach, scheduling and conducting interviews;
- Present job offers and collect required information/documentation;
- Assist with Orientation presentation to the facility;
- Process Timecards, Payroll Prep and payroll issues;
- Maintain facility’s Employee Files and process changes as needed;
- Process Workers Compensation data entry, accident investigation and OSHA Logs;
- Process Unemployment forms and Employment Verifications;
- Employee Benefit Administration;
- Assist staff with login issues to facility systems;
- Credential Track license renewals and education completion;
- And other Human Resources tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in an HR or administrative role is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and HR software systems (experience with Kronos is a plus).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
- Flexible schedule – ability to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
