We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Biller to join our team. Experience with Skilled Nursing, Personal Care or In Home Care Billing.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding, and facilitating smooth transactions between healthcare providers and insurance companies. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding practices, and billing systems to ensure compliance and efficiency in the revenue cycle.

Responsibilities
- Ensure accurately coded medical diagnoses and procedures using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems were applied.
- Process medical billing claims for various insurance providers, ensuring timely submission and follow-up.
- Review patient records for completeness and accuracy prior to billing.
- Manage accounts receivable, including tracking payments and resolving discrepancies.
- Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to clarify billing issues or obtain necessary information.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices to maintain compliance.
- Assist in the collection of outstanding balances from patients or insurance companies as needed.
- Maintain organized records of all billing activities and communications.
Experience
- Previous experience in medical billing or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10), and DRG classification is essential.
- Experience with medical office operations and medical collections is a plus.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems or medical billing software is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently are crucial for success in this role.
