Job Summary:

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting by contributing to all steps of the nursing process (assessment; planning; implementation and evaluation). The LPN shall communicate with the RN and seek guidance when the patient’s care needs exceed the LPN’s scope of practice or surpass the LPN’s knowledge, skill or ability. The LPN will also communicate to the RN and/or ED Physician if the patient’s condition deteriorates or there is a significant change in condition. Records information per regulations.  Assists as needed to expedite workflow in the kitchen, dishwashing areas and cafeteria food line.

Characteristic job tasks and responsibilities:

• Receive daily assignments and instructions.
• Short order cooking or running of the register in cafeteria.
• Act in a courteous professional manner to all hospital personnel, patients, and visitors.
• Assemble patient trays, prepare food carts and transport the carts to the appropriate floors.
• Clear food carts and café trays, perform dish washing tasks.
• Perform heavy cleaning, routine cleaning and non-routine cleaning duties as directed.
• Assist in care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Document required records and statistics.
• Restock items in the kitchen. Gets and puts away new stock from delivery trucks.
• Maintain snack levels in each of the floor kitchens.
• Prepare luncheons and other special functions.
• Attend department staff and educational meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the dietary department.

LECOM Health Corry Memorial Hospital is seeking per diem Registered Nurses for the Emergency and Acute Care Departments. 

Job Summary:

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting and/or emergency setting. Communicates with physicians/nurse manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

Characteristic job tasks and responsibilities:

• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and their clinical condition.
• Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patients age.
• Ability to perform a head to toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes: pediatric, geriatric and the general patient population.
• Ability to revise plan of care as indicated by the patients response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.
• Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate.
• Demonstrates ability to perform treatments and provide services to level of licensure.
• Communicates appropriately and clearly to Nurse Manager, co-workers and physicians.
• Consults other departments as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient’s needs.

Corry Memorial Hospital is currently seeking per diem Radiologic Technologist.  Flexible hours are available for day and night shift, weekdays and weekends.  This employee prepares patients for procedures, performs diagnostic imaging testing, and other procedures necessary within direct supervision from the department manager. Provides explanation to patient and family prior to administering tests to patient; answers questions within scope of practice. Produces high quality images. Performs accurate assessment of patients to ensure proper machine settings and exposure factors. Always maintains a sound knowledge of current expected positioning factors. Current ARRT certification and CPR required.
