Speech Pathology

Speech-Language Pathologists (also known as Speech Therapists or SLPs) evaluate, diagnose, and treat various forms of communication, cognitive, and swallowing impairments. Areas of focus may include: speech, voice, language, memory, problem solving, and attention. The speech-language pathologists at LECOM Health specialize in various treatment modalities for the geriatric and adult populations. Our speech therapists also complete necessary diagnostic testing and treatment planning for swallowing difficulty (dysphagia) including videofluroscopic assessments. We treat a variety of patient disorders including neurodegenerative diseases and stroke.
