education, experience, licenses:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school. 

Completion of an accredited residency program in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine. 

Licensure and Certifications: 

Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine (preferred) by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM). 

Alternatively, Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM), OR Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Urology team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our board-certified urologists to provide high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with urologic conditions. This role includes outpatient clinic responsibilities, inpatient rounding, assisting with minor office procedures, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive histories, physical exams, and assessments of patients with urologic conditions.
• Diagnose and manage common urologic disorders under the supervision of a urologist.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests such as labs, imaging, and urodynamics.
• Perform and assist with office procedures, such as catheterizations, cystoscopies, bladder scans, and injections.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education, wound care, and suture/staple removal.
• Round on hospitalized urology patients, assist with inpatient consults, and communicate with hospital staff.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Participate in multidisciplinary care coordination with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, medications, and preventative care.
• Collaborate on quality improvement and clinical best practices initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education & Licensure:

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
• Current and unrestricted PA or NP license in PA
