LECOM Medical Center and Behavioral Health Pavilion, formerly Millcreek Community Hospital, received full accreditation through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).
LECOM Medical Center and Behavioral Health Pavilion, formerly Millcreek Community Hospital, has also received Primary Stroke Center Certification through ACHC for compliance with a comprehensive set of national standards. Primary Stroke Centers have the capacity to stabilize and treat acute stroke patients. They provide initial, acute care and administer tPA and other acute therapies safely and efficiently.
Certification by ACHC reflects our dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care.
LECOM Health’s acute care teaching hospital offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services and 24-hour emergency care. We’re the Erie region’s leader in behavioral health care, senior services and medical education, training more new providers and pharmacists than any hospital in the area.
Behavioral Health
LECOM Medical Center and Behavioral Health Pavilion Behavioral Health programs were originally established in 2001 to fulfill an urgent need for psychiatric inpatient services in our community. Since that time, we have grown to be the region’s largest provider of quality inpatient psychiatric treatment. Our outpatient behavioral health wing, LECOM Institute for Behavioral Health, was established in 2020 to provide compassionate outpatient psychiatric assessment and medication management services to individuals across the lifespan. We are dedicated to meeting the behavioral health needs of individuals residing throughout our community.
