LECOM Health Opens Visiting Nurses Association Specialty Hospice Unit

Erie, Pa. (November 14, 2024) – LECOM Health held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today for Erie County’s first Specialty Hospice Unit, located at LECOM Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 4114 Schaper Avenue in Millcreek. Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) Awarded $1.75 Million HRSA Grant to Launch Telehealth Initiatives for Ashtabula County and Chautauqua County

Erie, PA (October 23, 2024) — The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) announced today that it has been awarded a $1.75 million grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for the strategic expansion of telebehavioral health services via primary care settings to underserved and rural communities, specifically targeting areas of Ashtabula County, OH, and Chautauqua County, NY. LECOM Health Acquires Elmwood Gardens

LECOM Health announced today the organization has purchased Elmwood Gardens, located at 2628 Elmwood Avenue in Erie, and is renaming the independent living and personal care communities “Parkside at Elmwood,” and the skilled nursing facility will be “LECOM at Elmwood Gardens.” LECOM staff and administration have already begun working with employees, residents, and their families on the transition.
