LECOM Medical Center and Behavioral Health Pavilion Hosts Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Erie, Pa. (April 9, 2025) — LECOM Health today held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for LECOM Medical Center and Behavioral Health Pavilion’s new Emergency Department, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Medical/Surgical Unit, and Intensive Care Unit. The first floor of the new 34,000-square-foot addition accommodates a new emergency department with eight treatment rooms, two trauma rooms, and six patient rooms dedicated to behavioral health. LECOM Health Acquires Elmwood Gardens

LECOM Health announced today the organization has purchased Elmwood Gardens, located at 2628 Elmwood Avenue in Erie, and is renaming the independent living and personal care communities “Parkside at Elmwood,” and the skilled nursing facility will be “LECOM at Elmwood Gardens.” LECOM staff and administration have already begun working with employees, residents, and their families on the transition.
