    Alan Kidon, D.P.M., is board certified in Forefoot and Rearfoot/Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He was born and raised in Chardon, Ohio, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Baldwin Wallace University. Dr. Kidon then attended podiatry school at the Kent State University College of Podiatry in Cleveland, Ohio. He did his residency training in Detroit, Mich., at Ascension Macomb – Oakland Hospital. He underwent extensive training in forefoot and rearfoot surgeries and was the chief resident of the program during his third year. Dr. Kidon then completed a fellowship in advanced reconstructive surgery, trauma, and limb salvage with Dr. Mark Mendeszoon in Concord, Ohio. He spent the last six years at a busy private practice in Lexington, Ky. He served as Secretary to the Kentucky Podiatry Association, an alternate delegate for Kentucky to the House of Delegate for the American Podiatric Medical Association, and served on the executive committee as Director of Podiatry at the Continuing Care Hospital. Dr. Kidon has also been involved in many research studies and is published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

    Dr. Kidon enjoys all aspects of podiatry but is especially passionate about working with athletes. He was an avid runner in high school and college as a 400-meter hurdler and continues to be active today. He enjoys spending time at home with his wife and being a girl dad to his three daughters. He is excited to be closer to home and to be living near a lake again. He and his family are excited to explore and create new memories in their new hometown of Erie, Pa.
