Luxmi Gahlot, M.D., is triple board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in anesthesiology, pain medicine, and hospice and palliative medicine.
She provides both interventional and medical approaches to relieving pain symptoms so that you can focus on more important things in your life. Because she is herself an anesthesiologist, Dr. Gahlot is intimately familiar with every type of procedure and medication that can be used to treat both acute and especially chronic pain. She has a deep understanding of the causes of chronic pain, and works with every patient individually to find the right pain management strategy for them.
Dr. Gahlot received her medical degree from Sardar Patel Medical College in India in 1995. After completing her medical degree, Dr. Gahlot moved to Canada and spent several years in further study conducting research at the University of Calgary, receiving an additional master of science degree in respiratory physiology.
She then came to the United States and began her formal postgraduate medical training, graduating from the University of Pittsburgh’s residency in anesthesiology before completing two additional fellowships: in critical care medicine and finally pain medicine, both at the University of Pittsburgh.
