Acute Medical Detoxification Services at Millcreek Community Hospital
This Unit provides acute medical detoxification to chemically dependent persons as the first phase of the recovery process. A concerted effort is made to lead the patient into the next phase of a total recovery program (i.e., outpatient, residential, or 12-step program).
Complete nursing assessments are completed on all patients admitted to the department to include: Detox Unit Initial Intake Preliminary treatment plans, Physical assessment, and Psychosocial assessments.
Emergency Services are available 24/7.
