Position Summary
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. This role plays a key part in supporting employees throughout the employment lifecycle, ensuring HR processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment activities, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparation of new hire paperwork and orientation materials
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HR systems and personnel files
  • Assist with benefits administration, timekeeping, and employee status changes
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries and direct more complex issues to appropriate HR staff
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and organizational HR policies and procedures
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and HR-related documentation as needed
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including filing, data entry, and scheduling

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–2 years of administrative or human resources experience preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation/vehicle
  • Knowledge of basic HR practices, employment laws, and confidentiality standards
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
