The Central Supply Assistant will use their planning and organization skills to procure necessary materials and supplies for one or more of the skill nursing facilities that make up the LECOM Institute for Successful Living.
This position will primarily be located at 4855 W Ridge Rd - Saint Mary's at Asbury Ridge.
Under the supervision of the Central Supply Manager and the building Administrator, the Central Supply Assistant will work with vendors, research new products, and maintain supply rooms.
Duties:
- Coordinate and manage the supply chain activities of the organization
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and effectiveness
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of goods
- Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement in the supply chain process
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and shipments
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination of supply chain activities
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in supply chain management
Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Proven experience in supply chain management or a similar role
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficient in using supply chain management software and tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

JOB DUTIES:

- Guides other maintenance workers in performing skilled crafts for the purpose of providing support to workers developing their knowledge of specific skills with trade; Inspects facilities, systems and their components for the purpose of ensuring safety (e.g. OSHA) and cleanliness, and identifying necessary repairs;
- Installs a variety of items and/or system components frequently of a complex nature (e.g., cabinetry, doors and hardware, windows, playground equipment, classroom and office equipment and facility components, TV cables, audiovisual equipment, intercommunicating telephones) for the purpose of maintaining the Institution in a safe, comfortable and operating condition;
- Maintains tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition;

- Coordinates work activities among departments;
- Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment;
- Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies;
- Evaluates records to forecast department personnel requirements;
- Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation;
- Prepares reports concerning room occupancy, payroll (Kronos), and department expenses;
- Selects and purchases new furnishings;
- Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage;
- Examines building to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to management;
- Attends staff meetings to discuss Institutional policies and patrons' complaints;
- Issues supplies and equipment to workers;
- Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff;
- Advises manager, desk clerk, or admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy;
- Records data regarding work assignments, personnel actions, and time cards, and prepares periodic reports;
- Screens job applicants, hires new employees, and recommends promotions, transfers, and dismissals; and
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Position Summary
The Marketing and Communications Specialist supports internal and external communications efforts through content creation, media outreach, digital marketing, and event support. This role collaborates closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure consistent, high-quality messaging aligned with LECOM’s mission and values.
Characteristic Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Content generation of articles, news stories, and press releases for internal and external purposes
- Development and design of print, broadcast, and other media marketing materials including collateral such as advertising, brochures, flyers, newsletters, magazines, blog posts, and Internet content
- Utilizes relationships with external media sources to promote and assist with coverage of newsworthy stories on an as-needed basis

- Reads prescription, measures arterial blood gases, and reviews patient information to assess patient condition and determine requirements for treatment, such as type and duration of therapy, and medication dosages. Determines most suitable method of administering inhalants, precautions to be observed, and modifications which may be needed that will be compatible with physician's orders.
- Monitors patient's physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes. Performs bronchopulmonary drainage and assists patient in performing breathing exercises. Performs pulmonary function tests to be used by physician in diagnosis of case. The Visiting Nurse Association of Erie County is accepting applications for a Full Time Home Health LPN to provide skilled nursing care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate will also perform selected skilled actions in the provision of curative, rehabilitative, palliative or preventative nursing care. This position also requires the candidate to be responsible and accountable for making decisions that are based on the individual’s nursing experience and educational preparation.
