The LECOM Institute for Successful Living is now accepting applicants for its Certified Nurse Aide Training program.

Applicants selected for the LECOM CNA Training program will receive their training at no cost. LECOM will also cover the cost for the licensing exam (terms apply).

Trainees are offered a Full Time CNA position within one or more of our skilled nursing facilities, contingent upon successful completion of the training program and the final exam, with a starting pay rate of $17.50/hr, plus any applicable shift differential.

About the Class
The LECOM CNA Training program is 4 weeks in duration, with a total of 120 hours of classroom and clinical training. The first two weeks of training will be classroom hours from 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM. While the next 2 weeks consist of clinical hours from 7:00 AM- 1:30 PM. The classes are held at LECOM at Village Square, located at 149 W 22nd St, Erie PA.

*Candidates who can work Full Time 2nd shift, 3rd shift, or 12 hour overnight shift upon graduation of the program will be given preference for admittance. Attendance during the training program is mandatory.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent, strongly preferred

• Confirm, on a weekly basis the scheduling of visits with the patients’ Case Managers to facilitate coordination of other staff visits.
• Participate in IDG and QAPI meetings and activities.
• If the patient/family declines Social Work services, the Social Worker continues to offer support to the IDG in it’s care of the patient and to monitor the patient/caregiver’s evolving needs.
• Participate in discharge planning, as needed.
• Assume responsibility for self-development by continually striving to improve his/her Medical Social Worker practice through formal education, attendance at workshops and conferences, active participation in professional and related organizational meetings, and/or individual research and reading.

• Help patients to utilize the resources of their families and the community.

LECOM Health Corry Memorial Hospital is seeking full-time night shift Registered Nurses for the Acute Care Department. $20,000 Sign-On Bonus for qualified candidates.

The registered nurse provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical y setting. Communicates with physicians/nurse manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and their clinical condition.
• Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient's age.
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes pediatric, geriatric and the general patient population.

The Visiting Nurse Association of Erie County is accepting applications for a Full Time Home Health LPN to provide skilled nursing care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. · Actively participates in nursing organizations and promotes and participates in in-service programs.

· Must perform as a Universal Worker being cross-trained in other areas including Home Health Aide.

· Must be flexible to accept other duties needed or assigned by the resident or institution.

· Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience equivalent to:

• Must be licensed in Pennsylvania as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• One or more years’ experience as an LPN, Home Health or Hospital setting preferred.
• Must have a criminal background check.
• Must have current CPR certification.
• Must have valid Driver's license and reliable vehicle.
