Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

LECOM Health is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) to join our growing Gastroenterology team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced physicians in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Position Summary The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will support the Gastroenterology team in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing high-quality, comprehensive care to patients with gastrointestinal conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient evaluations, including comprehensive histories and physicals

  • Assist in developing and managing individualized treatment plans for acute and chronic GI conditions

  • Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure care for diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies

  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and lab work

  • Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams

  • Educate patients and families on digestive disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program

  • Current Pennsylvania licensure (or eligibility)

  • National certification required (PA-C or CRNP)

  • Experience in gastroenterology, internal medicine, or acute clinical care preferred

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged standing during examinations and clinical care

  • Manual dexterity for fine motor tasks and handling equipment

  • Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs. and assist with patient positioning

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
