Summary:
- Responsible to participate in hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff.
- Responsible to conduct and document training programs including but not limited to initial training, annual training, monthly training, diabetes training, CPR and first aid training.
- Responsible for the resident medications including training on medication administration and management.
- Responsible to serve on call after office hours.
- Responsible for the assessment, care, and monitoring of residents and the related documentation.
- Responsible to have positive relationships and communication with families.
- Communicate with physicians.
- Responsible to follow nursing practices and documentation according to Pennsylvania regulations
Qualifications Include:
- Must possess current Nursing License (RN or LPN) in Pennsylvania.
- Must maintain current certifications in CPR and First Aid.

The Recreation Manager is responsible for the preparation and implementation of resident activities within the resident centered care environment. Will manage Certified Nursing Aides in Recreation Assistant positions on each neighborhood.
CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledge, skills, attitude, and energy to consistently provide resident centered care.
- Manage Activities Staff specifically Recreation Assistants for each neighborhood.
- Manage Volunteer Staff.
- Planning of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly activity calendars that meet the needs of residents and neighborhoods.
- Planning of special events (dances, theme dinners, holidays, picnics, luncheons and outings).
- Scheduling Entertainment including obtaining W-9s and invoicing.
- Scheduling Clergy and Church visits to fit the religious needs of the population.
- Assisting residents with Voting (registering residents to vote, obtaining absentee ballots, escorting them to the polls).
- Complete admissions paperwork including but not limited to assessments and progress notes.
- Responsible for completing MDS, attendance records and keeping care plans up to date.
- Scheduling and running the Monthly Resident Council Meetings for each Neighborhood.
- Managing the Pet Therapy program including scheduling and maintaining current pet records.
- Ordering and distribution of appropriate magazines, newspapers and reading materials for each Neighborhood.
- Manage the Local Library Program (tracking requests, books signed out)
- Must perform as a Universal Worker being cross-trained in housekeeping, dietary and personal care functions.
- Must be flexible to accept other duties needed or assigned by the resident or institution.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Education and experience equivalent to:

Job Summary:
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical and/or emergency setting. Communicates with physicians/nurse manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Medical Associates of Erie is currently seeking a full time Front Desk Receptionist for a busy Physician Practice.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Check voicemail line in the morning and retrieve messages
- Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors
- Answers phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette
- Schedule patient appointments, make reminder calls, call patients who missed their appointments (no shows)
- Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized
- Facilitates patient flow by notifying physician of patients’ arrival and communicating with patients and clinical staff of unforeseen service delays
- ”Check in” patients as they arrive in a courteous manner. Responds to patient inquires in a professional and respectful manner.
- Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information
- Verifies patient’s address, phone, insurance and email address each visit
- Collection of patient balances for services provided (co-pay, prior balances etc)
- Copy insurance cards
- Verify patient insurance eligibility prior to patient appointments
- Reconcile daily payments at the end of the day
- Protects patient confidentiality by making sure PHI is secured; not leaving PHI in plain sight of patients/visitors and logging off computer before leaving it unattended

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Skills/Knowledge:
- High School or GED
- Previous experience in an office setting
- Knowledge of clinical procedures and medical terminology
- Basic word, excel
- Telephone etiquette/customer service skills
- Previous scheduling experience using an electronic scheduling system/electronic health record preferred
- Basic computer skills

Medical Associates of Erie is seeking a reliable medical assistant to guarantee that each patient visit and the logistical arrangements surrounding the visit are carried out with courtesy, caring and consistency, while assisting the physician in patient care and education
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in patient care in the exam room as directed by physician
- Perform clinical procedures under supervision of physician
- Escort patients to exam rooms, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s electronic health record
- Interview patients to make sure all information in electronic medical record is complete and current, including obtaining all necessary signed authorizations
- Review medical record for progress notes, specialist templates and diagnostic records prior to patient visit. Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed, if available, in patient’s electronic health record. (pre-visit planning/chart prep)
- Schedule tests, surgical procedures and coordinate referrals to provide continuous care for patients
- Obtain all necessary authorizations as mandated by patient’s insurance
- Track referrals for the practice to completion (report/result received and patient notified)
- Perform lab draws, EKG’s and administer injections.
- Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding medication and treatment protocol as instructed by physician
- Keep exam rooms and medication storage room stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
- Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
- Triage for urgency and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians
- Provide response to patient inquiry and concerns with attention to confidentiality
- Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
- Keep patients in waiting area informed of any unusual delays in physicians’ schedule
