Position Summary:

As a Respiratory Therapist at LECOM Nursing and Rehabilitation, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive respiratory care to our residents. Working in collaboration with our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will assess, treat, and monitor respiratory conditions to ensure the well-being of our residents. Your expertise will contribute to the overall quality of care we provide, promoting a comfortable and healing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate residents with respiratory conditions to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication, and ventilator management.
  • Monitor and adjust mechanical ventilation settings as needed.
  • Educate residents and their families on respiratory care techniques and self-management.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of respiratory assessments, treatments, and interventions.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and coordinate resident care.

Qualifications:

  • Current Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

  • Reads prescription, measures arterial blood gases, and reviews patient information to assess patient condition and determine requirements for treatment, such as type and duration of therapy, and medication dosages. Determines most suitable method of administering inhalants, precautions to be observed, and modifications which may be needed that will be compatible with physician's orders.
  • Monitors patient's physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes. JOB SUMMARY:

The Visiting Nurse Association of Erie County is accepting applications for a Full Time Home Health LPN to provide skilled nursing care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate will also perform selected skilled actions in the provision of curative, rehabilitative, palliative or preventative nursing care. This position also requires the candidate to be responsible and accountable for making decisions that are based on the individual’s nursing experience and educational preparation.

CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assists the Registered Nurse in carrying out the plan of care.

· Assists the Registered Nurse in performing specialized procedures as directed by the Registered Nurse under physician’s orders, excluding infusion care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Wound Nurse is responsible for the coordination of wound care for the residents at the LECOM Institute for Successful Living. These include, but are not limited to, utilization of skills in organization, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing care through standard operating procedures of all wounds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be Licensed as a Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • Wound Care Certification or Ostomy Certification is preferred but not necessary.
  • 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must maintain current certifications in CPR and First Aid.

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide case management for consulting patients providing specific assessment according to protocols and procedures, clinical competence in procedural skills, treatments, and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management, and acts as patient advocate in delivery and coordination of patients’ wound care;
  • Provides efficient and effective care with the guidance of the Physician during the wound clinic sessions, attends or follows up on all wound clinic appointments where scheduled. Able to manage a high number of patients at the same time with high energy level and organization;
  • Collaborates with other health care providers, wound care Physicians, Nursing Leaders and floor staff, Home Health Agencies, Extended Care Facilities, and Wound Clinic Program Director and Clinical Coordinator, regarding resident needs;
  • Will participate in the development and establishment of a goal oriented skin care protocol;
  • Implementation of the skin care protocol and orders within 24 hours or next business day after admission;
  • Order entry of initial LECOM Wound Clinic orders;
  • Order entry as needed upon changes in skin care;
  • Daily review of skin incidents and wound / ulcer report accuracy;
  • Liaison to LECOM Health Wound Clinic for transfer assistance;
  • Assist in resident / family / employee teaching and education as needed;
  • Review , document and report significant changes as well as quarterly and annual care plans;
  • If Patient has an active wound, will participate in multi-disciplinary team care plan meetings;
  • If Patient has no active wounds, a wound nurse business card will be provided during the care plan meeting;
  • Must provide daily skilled wound care on all patients, as applicable;
  • Nursing staff will perform head to toe skin assessments upon admission or next business day after admission and communicate results to wound nurse;
  • The wound nurse will assess either upon admission or on next business day after admission if there is any presence of a wound;
  • The wound nurse will assess within 5 days of an admission if no wound is identified by the nursing staff in their head to toe assessment;
  • and continue performing at least weekly skin assessments;
  • Weekly wound care rounds, follow up and documentation.

Position Summary
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department. Key Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Marketing and Communications Specialist supports internal and external communications efforts through content creation, media outreach, digital marketing, and event support. Characteristic Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Content generation of articles, news stories, and press releases for internal and external purposes
  • Development and design of print, broadcast, and other media marketing materials including collateral such as advertising, brochures, flyers, newsletters, magazines, blog posts, and Internet content
  • Utilizes relationships with external media sources to promote and assist with coverage of newsworthy stories on an as-needed basis
  • Assist with and drive social media posting to create brand recognition and increase following
  • Assists with projects in photography, desktop publishing, graphic design, video production, and online publishing; ensures quality and timely deliverance of all projects
  • Identify, solicit, and follow up with targets through multiple sales, communications, and marketing methods (i.e., cold calling, conference attendance, social media, public relations, drip campaigns, presentations, etc.)
  • Attends activities and events as a representative of the Department including but not limited to the Scholarship Auction and Graduation, Long Term Care Conference, Culture of Caring Event
  • May require working extended hours and weekends, as well as travel outside the Erie area
  • Commit to being a representative of LECOM by being actively involved in the community, including but not limited to participating in community fundraisers and overall outreach

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in a marketing and communications support role writing content, creating graphics, and generating digital content is preferred but not required
  • Experience working with applications and programs including but not limited to WordPress, Canva, Sprout, AI tools, and similar platforms

Job Summary

The LECOM Institute for Successful Living has an immediate opening for a full-time Staff Educator / Nurse Aide Training Program Instructor (NATCEP). Candidates must possess a valid PA nursing license (RN or LPN). The selected individual will primarily serve as a staff educator for all levels of employment within our organization.

As a secondary duty, this position will also serve as an instructor in a regular classroom and clinical setting, presenting instruction in a state approved Nurse Aide Training Program. The position follows the student from application, through the courses, and provides support through the state examination process.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be a licensed nurse (RN or LPN) with at least one-year experience in long-term care facility.
  • Must have Teaching the Educator Certification or be eligible for the Teaching the Educator Certification.
  • Must have valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
