Under general supervision, the Floor Technician performs a wide variety of housekeeping duties focusing on proper floor cleaning in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment; and perform related work as required.
CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Vacuum rooms, common areas, halls and office with carpeting;
- Sweeps and mops tile and linoleum floors;
- Strips and waxes floors according to schedule, where applicable;
- Buffs floors, where applicable;
- Cleans dining room floors after meals and special events;
- Cleans common area floors, including break room;
- Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures;
- Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, and/or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; refill restroom dispensers;
- Performs duties in and around campus facilities; implements setup and takedown for a wide variety of campus and community events; works closely with employees and the public to meet the custodial needs of the area; and resolves problems to ensure efficient and safe operations;
- Strip, clean and buff floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets on an as needed basis, where applicable;
- Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.;
- Wash walls and equipment; use equipment in accordance with OSHA and other Institutional safety procedures when required in work assignments;
- Lock and unlock assigned buildings: secure building when facilities are not in use checking for unlocked doors, report any unauthorized occupants, turn off lights…etc.;
- Follow instructions regarding the use of cleaning materials and supplies in accordance with OSHA and Institutional Safety Protocols;
- Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an as needed basis;
- Wash accessible interior and exterior windows and clean associated blinds on an as needed basis;
- Handle trash, biohazard and other recycling materials in accordance with proper disposal procedures;
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance; and
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

JOB SUMMARY:

Assists with patient grievances.
Manages community outreach activities.
Coordinates vending machine contracts.
Assists with other tasks assigned by the Administrator.

SUMMARY:
Responsible for overall facility management, profitability, operations, and direction in all aspects. Accountable for, but not limited to, census development, management of accounts receivable and collections, maximization of Net Operating Income, resident/patient care, state and federal survey compliance, positive employee relations, a positive return on investment, an effective business plan and implementation of core programs. Designated the representative in the facility and community. Follows all policies and procedures. Completes rounds of entire facility premises at least daily to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations. Hands-on involvement with the Social Services department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience equivalent to:
- A Bachelor’s degree from a CAHME (Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education) accredited institution in health administration, public administration, long-term care administration, or other relevant fields.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Registered Nurse license preferred.
- Must have successfully completed and passed the PA Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) exam.
- Completion of Board Approved internship in a medical setting or 3+ years experienced required.
- Completion of 800-1,000 hours Administrator-in-Training (AIT) preferred.
- Must complete required 48 hours of continuing education using web-based training approved by the NAB.

Although NO CERTIFICATION nor previous experience is required to apply for this position, individuals who currently hold a valid Med Tech or CNA license are eligible for an increased starting salary.
Medical Assistants who desire a direct patient care position are also well qualified for this position.
We offer a variety of scheduling options. However, increased availability of days and hours is a plus. Full or Part time positions available, with several scheduling options to choose from.
Summary:
