Summary

Responsibilities
1. Responsible for greeting all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone
2. Perform day-to-day administrative functions and general office duties including but not limited to word processing, copying, filing, faxing, scanning, data entry.
3. Responds to inquiries by patients, prospective patients, and visitors in a courteous manner and transfers calls as required.
4. Collect and process credit card payments.
5. Responsible for sorting and dispersing incoming mail to correct recipients throughout the office.
6. Prepare paper claims for external mailing.
7. Prepare collection letter mailings.
8. Prepare refund mailings.
9. Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized.
10. Regularly meet with Patient Accounting Manager to discuss and resolve obstacles.
11. Regularly attend department huddles and meetings.
12. Perform additional duties as requested.
- Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare administration preferred.
- Proven experience in medical billing or patient accounting roles.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

Job Summary:
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical and/or emergency setting. Communicates with physicians/nurse manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
Characteristic job tasks and responsibilities:
- Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and their clinical condition.
- Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient's age.
- Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes pediatric, geriatric and the general patient population.
- Ability to revise plan of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.
- Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate.
- Demonstrates ability to perform treatments and provide services to level of licensure.
- Communicates appropriately and clearly to Nurse Manager, co-workers and physicians.
- Consults other departments as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient’s needs.
- Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient, including pediatric, geriatric and general population.
- Demonstrates and ability to assist physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills.
- Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.
- Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity; ensures patient confidentiality.
- Interacts professionally with patient/family and involves patient/family in the formation of the plan of care.
- Maintains a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.
- Documentation must meet current standards and policies.
- Identifies and addresses psychosocial needs of patients and family; communicates with social service/discharge planner regarding both in hospital and post discharge needs.
- Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly.
- Coordinates and supervises patient care as necessary.
- Performs other duties as directed by Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Job Duties
Appointment Scheduling
- Coordinate and schedule medical, dental, therapy, and specialist appointments for residents based on physician orders and resident needs.
- Communicate with physician offices, hospitals, and clinics to confirm appointment dates, times, and required documentation.
- Maintain an organized appointment calendar for all residents and ensure timely follow-up appointments as needed.
Transportation Coordination
- Schedule transportation for residents to and from medical appointments using facility vehicles, contracted transport services, or family arrangements.
- Ensure transportation schedules align with appointment times and resident care needs.
- Communicate transportation details to nursing staff, residents, and drivers in advance.
Documentation and Communication
- Record all scheduled appointments and transportation arrangements in the facility’s scheduling system or electronic health record (EHR).
- Update nursing and caregiving staff on upcoming appointments and any required pre-visit preparations (e.g., fasting, medication holds).
- Maintain accurate logs of all appointments, cancellations, and reschedules.
Resident Support
- Ensure residents are safely transported and returned to the facility after appointments.
- Communicate with residents and their families about upcoming appointments and any changes
Compliance and Confidentiality
- Ensure all scheduling and communication adhere to HIPAA and facility privacy policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information at all times.
- Follow facility policies and state regulations regarding resident transport and medical coordination.
General Administrative Support
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage appointment-related correspondence.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED equivelant
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- Experience in transportation, dispatch, logistics or other related field is preferred

Medical Assistants who desire a direct patient care position are also well qualified for this position.

Summary:
Personal Care Aides are responsible to provide personal care including but not limited to bathing, shampooing, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, laundry, kitchen help, and serving meals.
May include Medication Pass duties, once certified.

Qualifications Include:
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.

The Regency at South Shore, a part of the LECOM Institute for Successful Living, is accepting applications and resume submissions for a Full Time Dining Room Supervisor.
The Dining Room Supervisor will assist the Dietary Manager in all operations within the Dietary Department including, but not limited to; disciplinary actions, scheduling, item specifications, sanitation standards, and record keeping.
CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledge, skills, attitude, and energy to consistently provide resident centered care.
- Assist the Culinary Manager in all operations within the Culinary Department including, but not limited to; disciplinary actions, scheduling, item specifications, sanitation standards, and record keeping.
- Develops friendly and courteous relationships with residents and co-workers.
- Supervises, mentors, and disciplines dietary employees in the dining room.
- Works with the Cook Supervisor during meal service to ensure resident satisfaction. Maintains confidentiality of all residents’ personal information.
- Prepares food and drink items using standard formulas or following directions.
- Explains and guides residents in regard to their menu selections and provides alternative selections, as needed.
- Puts away, replenishes, and rotates stock to ensure older items are used first.
- Ensures health guidelines and company sanitation policies are followed by employees and guests in all dining areas.
- Controls conduct of employees and residents in a friendly manner to prevent loss, theft, spills and cross contamination.
- Maintains control of product flow and employees.
- Performs cleaning duties while keeping both front and back dining room areas clean and free of debris throughout the work day.
- Must be flexible to accept other duties as needed or assigned by the resident or institution.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years supervisory or management experience in Food Service, Hospitality, or related field.
