Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team. The PA will work closely with orthopedic surgeons and medical professionals to diagnose, treat, and manage musculoskeletal conditions. Responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations, managing post-operative care, and developing treatment plans. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical skills, experience in orthopedics, and a patient-centered approach to care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and lab studies.

Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic orthopedic conditions.

Assist orthopedic surgeons in surgical procedures, including preoperative and postoperative care.

Perform procedures such as joint injections, splinting, casting, and wound care.

Educate patients and families about treatment options, post-operative care, rehabilitation, and injury prevention.

Prescribe medications and therapy under the supervision of a physician.

Collaborate with physical therapists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on advancements in orthopedic care.

 

Qualifications:

Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program.

Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant.

Experience in orthopedics or musculoskeletal medicine preferred.

Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with the ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation.
