LECOM Medical Center and Behavioral Health Pavilion, an Equal Opportunity Employer, is currently seeking multiple PRN (AS NEEDED) Dietary Aide's with weekend and day availability.

Ideal candidate must be OK with cross training.

WEEKENDS ARE REQUIRED

Under the direct supervision of the members of the supervisory staff, the Dietary Aide performs a variety of patient food service and dish room duties and other related tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assembles prepared food on trays for general and therapeutic diets.

2. Maintains tray line in a clean, neat and orderly manner.

3. Delivers food trucks to patient floors as specified. Returns them to the dish room at designated.

4. Tends and loads dish machine in patient/employee dish room.

5. Washes certain items by hand such as pot, pans and utensils.

6. Disposes of trash and garbage as scheduled. Cleans and sanitizes trash

containers as they are emptied.

7. Cleans and sanitizes all food and supply carts in the department at the end of each shift.

8. Is responsible for cleaning all work tables and surrounding work areas in the dish room and pot washing area at the end of each meal period. Sanitizes after cleaning.

9. Sweeps and mops floors throughout the department at designated times.

10. Maintains clean and sanitary dining areas prior to and following each meal period.

11. Assists in preparing such items as salads, dessert or nourishments.

12. Assists in the storage of food and supplies following deliveries using the first-in, first-out method.

13. Prepares and delivers late trays as instructed.

14. Performs heavy cleaning following the cleaning schedule.

15. Assists in the set-up, service and clean-up of special meetings and functions.

16. Must maintain a current record of attendance to the required inservices as determined by the institution on an annual basis.

The LECOM Institute for Successful Living, is seeking Personal Care Aides and Med Techs to work varying shifts in our independent living, apartment style, personal care facilities throughout Erie County.

Although NO CERTIFICATION nor previous experience is required to apply for this position, individuals who currently hold a valid Med Tech or CNA license are eligible for an increased starting salary.

Medical Assistants who desire a direct patient care position are also well qualified for this position.

We offer a variety of scheduling options. However, increased availability of days and hours is a plus. Full or Part time positions available, with several scheduling options to choose from.

Summary:

Personal Care Aides are responsible to provide personal care including but not limited to bathing, shampooing, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, laundry, kitchen help, and serving meals.

May include Medication Pass duties, once certified.

*LECOM may offer Med Tech training to qualified candidates.

Qualifications Include:

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must maintain current certifications in CPR and First Aid.

SUMMARY:

The LECOM Institute for Successful Living is accepting applications and resume submissions for Full Time - Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) positions within our Skilled Nursing Facilities. CNAs work directly with residents to ensure personal, nutritional, and medical needs are met, but also to create an environment which supports healing.

Full Time Openings currently on the following shifts :

  • 1st Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

The Visiting Nurse Association is now offering a $5,000 to $12,000 Sign on bonus for Full Time Home Health Registered Nurse Case Managers with opportunity to earn up to $80K in total bonuses over the next 5 years!

Home Health RNs provide nursing care in accordance with the patient’s plan of care to include comprehensive health and psychosocial evaluation, monitoring of the patient’s condition, health promotion and prevention, coordination of services, teaching and training activities and direct nursing care.

Education and experience equivalent to:

  • Must be licensed in Pennsylvania as a Registered Nurse
  • One or more years of experience in community/home health agency or in a hospital setting; preferred.

Summary:

  • The cook will prepare bulk food items for the various venues while following recipes to be nutritious, attractive, in proper portions while being responsible with resources. Will also be responsible to report problems and take corrective action to address those issues.
  • Possesses knowledge, skills, attitude, and energy to consistently provide resident centered care.
  • Maintains and promotes ethical conduct of employees, addresses residents in a friendly manner, creating a safe and productive environment.
  • Will manage the schedule, food supply and food production duties in the absence of dietary managers.
  • Responsible for daily food preparation to prepare food for multiple venues while following recipes.
  • Responsible for food production for catering events, off-premises food services including meals on wheels, LECOM Center for Health and Aging, and other customers as assigned.
  • Promotes a safe working environment.
  • Read and interpret the Resident’s nutritional requirements via paper or digital platform.
  • Promote clinical nutrition through the Dietitian’s management of therapeutic diets, nutritional supplements and the food first philosophy while producing accurate food offerings.
  • Educates and guides residents in regards to cost and contents of their selections and provides alternative selections available.
  • Ensures health guidelines and company sanitation policies are followed by employees and guests in all dining areas.
  • Maintain all documentation and logs for sanitation and food safety compliance purposes.
  • Assists the Dietary Manager to facilitate departmental auditing in preparation for annual survey.

We are a compassionate, resident-centered Personal Care Home located at 4855 W Ridge Rd, Erie PA 16506. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Personal Care Home Administrator to lead our team and ensure that all operations meet or exceed state standards of care.

Position Summary

The Personal Care Home Administrator is responsible for the overall management and daily operations of the facility. This includes supervision of staff, regulatory compliance, financial oversight, resident care, and fostering a positive and supportive environment for residents, families, and employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) Personal Care Home regulations (55 Pa. Code Chapter 2600).
  • Provide leadership and direction to all staff, promoting a culture of compassion, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Oversee resident admissions, assessments, and care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required by law and company policy.
  • Manage budgets, payroll, and financial reporting in collaboration with ownership/management.
  • Coordinate staff training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between residents, families, healthcare professionals, and regulatory agencies.
  • Implement and monitor policies to ensure high-quality care and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current Personal Care Home Administrator Certification issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or administrative role within a personal care or long-term care setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of PA DHS personal care regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, human services, or related field.
  • Experience managing budgets and overseeing staff development.

  7. Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager and/or Medical Director.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:

Must have current LPN License and CPR, sufficient previous clinical experience in physician office/medical clinic.

Job Summary:

To register patients throughout all departments of Corry Memorial Hospital in compliance with the LECOM Health Corry Memorial Hospital policies and procedures.

  • Register patients and update existing patient demographics by collecting detailed information including personal and financial information along with correct system information.
  • Confirm and verify insurance benefits with the appropriate carrier via eligibility verification and/or appropriate insurance websites.
  • Scan insurance card, driver’s license and order(s).
  • Print face sheet(s), labels and apply arm bands on patients.
  • Validate physician’s order for all appropriate information.
  • Contact physician’s office if there is no order on file/or need new standing order.
  • Collect any co-payments due.
  • Complete all applicable forms and necessary communications while obtaining signature for consent to treatment and financial responsibility, HIPPA and Photo Consents.
  • Notify departments of patient’s arrival.
  • Direct patients to appropriate department for testing.
  • File orders in drawer alphabetically as they come in from fax machine.
  • Purge orders from drawer that are over 6 months old; verify if testing was done; send to physician’s office to let them know patient did have done at our facility.
  • Follow up calls made to Physician’s offices if information not received.
  • Look up Physician information if ordering physician is not in the system and add it; Give information to Special Projects Personnel.
  • Late Add Ons are registered if not done by pre-reg/insurance verification.
  • Greet, interview triage, and register ER patients; including obtaining all signatures, updating demographical information, and verifying insurance eligibility.
  • Perform Cashier functions by collecting co-payments, counting cash drawer, providing change.
  • Assist with outpatient registration, obtaining medical records, all intercoms, switch board after departmental business hours, and paging of physicians.
  • Provide Clerical Assistance for the Emergency Department by scanning, filing, obtaining records, and completing tear down chart
  • Distribute OBS Brochures as necessary.
  • Assist Emergency Room Nurse and Physician as requested; such as assisting patients per RN or Physician instruction, obtaining wheelchairs, collecting urine specimens, cleaning beds, and copying charts for transfers.
  • Assist Ambulance Service as needed; such as answering phone, open/close garage door, meet as they arrive, answer Ambulance Med patch.
  • Set up arrangements for transfer by calling Transfer Center as well as helicopter transports.
  • Monitor panel alarms and security cameras.
  • Announce Fire Alarms.
  • Notify departments of Cardiac Arrest.
  • Contact on call Administrative personnel as needed.
  • Assist in finding nursing staff coverage when needed.
  • Complete transfer sheets and daily counts for Administration office.
  • Assist Acute Care Unit with scanning living wills and POA’s.
  • Verify room and bed census with nursing floors nightly.
  • Call outside services such as Poison Control and Chaplain as needed.
  • Snow removal and/or salting when needed.
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by Revenue Cycle Manager.
