As a Preferred PRN Resident Aide or Med Tech with the LECOM Institute for Successful Living, you will have multiple assisted living facilities in which you can work - all here in the Erie area - along with multiple scheduling options.

Our Preferred PRN Resident Aide pay rate is $16.50/hr and the Preferred PRN Med Tech pay rate is $19.00/hr. Terms and conditions apply. We encourage you to apply for more details.

Full Time positions are also available for those looking for access to employee benefits, starting at $15.00/hr, plus any applicable shift differential.

About Us

We are pleased to welcome Saint Mary's at Asbury Ridge as the newest addition to the LECOM Institute for Successful Living. Saint Mary's at Asbury Ridge is located at 4855 W Ridge Rd, Erie PA.

Although NO CERTIFICATION nor previous experience is required to apply for this position, individuals who currently hold a valid Med Tech or CNA license are eligible for an increased starting salary.

Medical Assistants who desire a direct patient care position are also well qualified for this position.

We offer a variety of scheduling options. However, increased availability of days and hours is a plus. Full or Part time positions available, with several scheduling options to choose from.

Summary:

Personal Care Aides are responsible to provide personal care including but not limited to bathing, shampooing, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, laundry, kitchen help, and serving meals.

May include Medication Pass duties, once certified.

*LECOM may offer Med Tech training to qualified candidates.

Qualifications Include:

  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must maintain current certifications in CPR and First Aid.
  • Previous Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Medication Pass Certification is a plus.

Job summary:

JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, the Floor Technician performs a wide variety of housekeeping duties focusing on proper floor cleaning in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment; and perform related work as required.

CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Vacuum rooms, common areas, halls and office with carpeting;
  • Sweeps and mops tile and linoleum floors;
  • Strips and waxes floors according to schedule, where applicable;
  • Buffs floors, where applicable;
  • Cleans dining room floors after meals and special events;
  • Cleans common area floors, including break room;
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures;

JOB SUMMARY:

The Kitchen Supervisor will assist the Culinary Director in all operations within the Dietary department including, but not limited to; staff scheduling, disciplinary actions, scheduling, cost controls, sanitation standards, and record keeping.

**The schedule for this position will consist primarily of evening and weekend hours. This is a hands-on supervisory role, in which the candidate is expected to also work side-by-side with their team.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Wound Nurse is responsible for the coordination of wound care for the residents at the LECOM Institute for Successful Living. These include, but are not limited to, utilization of skills in organization, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing care through standard operating procedures of all wounds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be Licensed as a Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • Wound Care Certification or Ostomy Certification is preferred but not necessary.
  • 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must maintain current certifications in CPR and First Aid.

TYPICAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide case management for consulting patients providing specific assessment according to protocols and procedures, clinical competence in procedural skills, treatments, and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management, and acts as patient advocate in delivery and coordination of patients’ wound care;
  • Provides efficient and effective care with the guidance of the Physician during the wound clinic sessions, attends or follows up on all wound clinic appointments where scheduled. Able to manage a high number of patients at the same time with high energy level and organization;
  • Collaborates with other health care providers, wound care Physicians, Nursing Leaders and floor staff, Home Health Agencies, Extended Care Facilities, and Wound Clinic Program Director and Clinical Coordinator, regarding resident needs;
  • Will participate in the development and establishment of a goal oriented skin care protocol;
  • Implementation of the skin care protocol and orders within 24 hours or next business day after admission;
  • Order entry of initial LECOM Wound Clinic orders;
  • Order entry as needed upon changes in skin care;
  • Daily review of skin incidents and wound / ulcer report accuracy;
  • Liaison to LECOM Health Wound Clinic for transfer assistance;
  • Assist in resident / family / employee teaching and education as needed;
  • Review , document and report significant changes as well as quarterly and annual care plans;
  • If Patient has an active wound, will participate in multi-disciplinary team care plan meetings;
  • If Patient has no active wounds, a wound nurse business card will be provided during the care plan meeting;
  • Must provide daily skilled wound care on all patients, as applicable;
  • Nursing staff will perform head to toe skin assessments upon admission or next business day after admission and communicate results to wound nurse;

The Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for the coordination of clinical activities of the Wound Care Center. Nurses work within the framework of the State Nurse Practice Act and follows Wound Care Centers, INC, and affiliate hospital policies and procedures. The Nurse complies with hospital and nursing standards in the performance of job duties and responsibilities. The Nurse will support the goals and objectives of the center and of the hospital.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct Patient Care (80%):

  • Providing case management for patients
