LECOM Nursing and Rehabilitation, a high acuity, skilled nursing facility, located at 4114 Schaper Ave, Erie PA, is accepting resume submissions for a Full Time Dietary Supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Dietary Supervisor will assist the Dietary Manager in all operations within the Dietary Department including, but not limited to; hiring, disciplinary actions, scheduling, cost controls, item specifications, menu development, sanitation standards, and record keeping.

CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Knowledge, skills, attitude, and energy to consistently provide resident centered care.
  • Assist the Culinary Manager in all operations within the Culinary Department including, but not limited to; hiring, disciplinary actions, scheduling, cost controls, item specifications, menu development, sanitation standards, and record keeping.
  • Develops friendly and courteous relationships with residents and co-workers.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all residents’ personal information.
  • Prepares food and drink items using standard formulas or following directions.
  • Explains and guides residents in regards cost and contents of their selections and provides alternative selections available.
  • Puts away, replenishes, and rotates stock to ensure older items are used first.
  • Ensures health guidelines and company sanitation policies are followed by employees and guests in all dining areas.
  • Controls conduct of employees and residents in a friendly manner to prevent loss, theft, spills and cross contamination.
  • Maintains control of product flow and employees.
  • Performs cleaning duties while keeping both front and back café areas clean and free of debris throughout the work day.
  • Must perform as a Universal Worker being cross-trained in housekeeping and personal care functions.
  • Must be flexible to accept other duties as needed or assigned by the resident or institution.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years experience in Food Service or related field

CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives all intake information for paraprofessional cases and enters the appropriate information in the computer.
  • Completes intake forms and routes them appropriately for admission approval.
  • Receives referral information from Liaison team and passes the referral information to the appropriate staff as soon as possible.
  • Enter referrals the day they are received into Referral Manager.
  • Updates referral board prior to am and pm meetings.
  • Places calls to physicians to confirm who will sign orders (document in chart) and to patients to discuss admission and be alerted if patient has an appointment or refuses services.
  • Enter all information relevant for the team to complete admission.
  • Update referral with any changes prior to admission
  • Confirm F2F date for physician referrals and enter into case communication note.
  • Enter ROC orders, scheduling note, and ROC case communication note and send to appropriate team members.
  • Email intake team census numbers and referral log in the am and pm.
  • Check insurance for authorization at time of referral. Enter a case communication note into McKesson.
  • Obtain authorization according to insurance requirements within time constraints. Enter insurance communication notes with visit authorizations obtained and send to team members.
  • Monitor authorizations for completion and need for continued authorization requests.
  • Follow up authorization process within 24 hours of receiving notification that forms are complete.
  • Maintain an accurate, timely and daily authorization process and corresponding log to track progress.
  • Must be flexible to accept other duties needed or assigned by the resident or institution.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

  • Accurately and efficiently performs prescriptions order entry. Appropriate records of charges are accurately maintained and filed.
  • Ability to keep an up to date inventory and place orders when appropriate.
  • Perform billing and claims adjudication in a timely manner and to the best knowledge of the patients coverage.
  • Effectively communicates with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, other technicians, facility personnel, and patients.
  • Maintains a neat, clean, orderly, and well-stocked work area in the packaging, intravenous admixture, and nursing office areas.
  • Performs all other job duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager/Staff Pharmacist.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

LECOM Health is seeking a dedicated informatics nurse to support clinical and operational excellence across multiple healthcare facilities within our growing health system.  

OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF JOB:

Plans, implements, tests and documents new, enhanced or existing nursing and physician documentation systems, integration with ancillary and revenue cycle systems and related education strategies to meet the needs of system users, and hospital administration and all state and federal regulations associated with LECOM Health System’s nursing and physician solutions.    

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB:

  • Utilizes clinical practice knowledge to collaborate, consult with, and partner with Nursing, Physician and IT leadership in the design, implementation, management and education of new, enhanced, or existing nursing and physician systems to improve efficiency/workflow and patient safety.
  • Assumes project implementation responsibilities as assigned to ensure system objectives are met within budget and on schedule; establishes acceptance criteria for measuring successful completion of informatics projects.
  • Works with I.T. staff and Departmental customers to design and modify systems to meet defined user criteria to include menus, screens, and reports. Identifies data collection techniques and assists with development of procedures to facilitate user department workflow.
  • Ensures all state and federal regulatory system updates are installed and tested prior to the regulatory effective date across all healthcare applications.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation and procedures of systems to ensure intended use and continuity of program maintenance.
  • Develops and performs training and continuing education programs for I.T. staff and systems users to support and utilize newly developed, modified, enhanced or converted systems.
  • Develops test plans for all nursing and physician applications; assists users in executing test plan to ensure proper and error-free execution of application software.
  • Monitors end-user use of systems, identifying coaching opportunities, and fosters effective and efficient use of systems. Identifies end-users learning needs regarding the features and benefits of systems.
  • Analyzes new systems and enhancements and/or corrections to existing systems and provides recommendations of feasibility of implementation to meet I.T. and organizational objectives.
  • Analyzes production application problems and implements and/or assists co-workers and users with the implementation in the resolution of problems.
  • Plans and implements security measures to safeguard the information in computer files against disclosure, accidental or unauthorized modification or destruction, determining cause of corrupted data files and corrects data integrity if software caused.
  • Studies existing information processing to evaluate effectiveness and proposes new systems to improve efficiency/workflow and patient safety.
  • Participates in the department on-call rotation. Responsible for receiving, resolving or reporting issues to the parties responsible to resolve any issue during the rotation according to the I.T. on-call policy and procedure.
  • Provides emergency or backup on-call assistance in the event of systems failure or scheduled maintenance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as may be required to meet emergency situations.

Position Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will support the Vascular Surgery team in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing high-quality, comprehensive care to patients with vascular conditions.

Job Overview:

The Cardiologist provides comprehensive cardiovascular care, including the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic heart conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings. The Cardiologist participates in diagnostic testing, procedural care as privileged, quality initiatives, and call coverage as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions, including but not limited to coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, valvular heart disease, and cardiomyopathies.
  • Provide inpatient consultative services and outpatient cardiology clinic care.
  • Interpret diagnostic studies such as EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter/event monitors, and other cardiovascular testing per privileges.
