SUMMARY: Participates in planning, policy development, and priority setting for the Nursing Department. The Nurse Leader directs and supervises professional nursing and ancillary personnel rendering patient care services on specific units. Serves as a member of the health care team providing direct patient care as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assigns duties and coordinates nursing service.
2. Follows up with patient, staff and physician complaints and incident reports.
3. Evaluates nursing activities to ensure patient care, staff relations, and efficiency of Service.
4. Initiates monthly unit meetings.
5. Observes nursing care and visits patients to ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed, and treatment administered in accordance with physician’s instructions.
6. Maintains maintenance repair and rental logs.
7. Directs preparation and maintenance of patient’s clinical records.
8. Identifies and provides educational opportunities for staff.
9. Inspects rooms for cleanliness and comfort.
10. Reviews bi-weekly time sheet for accuracy.
11. Accompanies physician on rounds, and keeps informed of special orders concerning patients.
12. Participates in interview and training of personnel.
13. Orders or directs ordering of drugs, solutions, and equipment, and maintains records on narcotics.
14. Maintains the standards of nursing practice within the unit and otherwise ensures
sound nursing practice. Projects staffing needs to ensure safe, effective, quality
patient care.
15. Monitors Quality Assurance activities on unit.
16. Participates in development of annual budget and conducts monthly review of
variances.
17. Assume staffing roles as necessary.
18. Maintains knowledge of current trends, developments, new technology and standards of care through current literature, seminars, conference and site visits.
19. Investigates and resolves complaints, or refers unusual problems to superior.
20. Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises employees in the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and discipline employees; addressing complaints and resolving them.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs daily posting of payments, imports remits and reconciles payments.
- Stays current with payer requirements for billing and shares best practices. Is involved with root cause analysis of denied claims and communicates trends and suggestions for improvement.
- Imports claims into the clearinghouse and review claims to achieve clean claims.
- Processes and corrects insurance denials. Works Accounts Receivable account aging to achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided. Documents all efforts on patient accounts.
- Scans documentation into the archiving system for storage.
- Provides customer service to internal and external customers regarding claims and insurance processing. Works with departments to resolve and avoid denials and appeals. Collaborates with team members to make process decisions.

SUMMARY: Plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone disease, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability by performing the following duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reviews Physician’s referral (prescription) and patient’s condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required.
2. Tests and measures patient’s strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and records findings to develop or revise treatment.
3. Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of patient data.
4. Administers manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
5. Instructs, motivates, and assists patient to perform various physical activities and in use of assistant and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
6. Administers treatments involving application of physical agents.
7. Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatment to achieve maximum benefit.
8. Administers massage. Administers traction to relieve pain.
9. Records treatment, response, and progress in patient’s chart or enters information into computer.
10. Instructs patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
11. Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends modification to Orthotist.
12. Confers with Physician and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information, suggests revisions in treatment programs, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patient’s health care.
13. Orients, instructs, and directs work activities of assistants, aides, and students.
14. Plans and conducts lectures and training programs on physical therapy and related topics for medical staff, students, and community groups.
15. Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

We are seeking a dedicated MSW (Master of Social Work) to join our growing team to provide essential counseling services to individuals in need, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and approaches.
This position would provide these services primarily at the four Skilled Nursing Facilities of LECOM Institute for Successful Living located in Erie, PA as well as provide coverage at our four Personal Care Homes.
Duties
- Conduct patient assessments to determine needs and develop appropriate care plans
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions
- Implement behavioral therapy interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Manage and update patient records accurately
- Participate in case management activities to support patients' well-being
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in documentation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis principles
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques
- Experience in case management and group therapy settings
- Knowledge of patient care best practices
- Ability to inhale a compassionate and empathetic approach towards clients

Job Summary:
Characteristic job tasks and responsibilities:
- Provides the referring physician and CMH with information relevant to the patients’ assessment and necessary prescriptive program.
- Reviews patient charts on a regular basis and assists in performing nutritional assessments in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
- Assists in writing all policies and procedures for dietetic personnel and services, and reviews new policies with the CEO of CMH.
- Assists in writing of patient menus for normal and therapeutic diets and approves all patient menus in regard to nutritional adequacy.
- Plans educational programs for dietary staff and others as needed.
- Reviews food production and service to ensure that established procedures and guidelines are followed.
- Provides CEO and Director of Patient Care Services with monthly reports of all activities of Registered Dietitian.
- Attend meetings to further professional knowledge which will benefit the facility through teaching.
- Makes facility aware of current Licensure and Certification requirements relative to food service operations.
- Approves diet manual and makes revisions as necessary.
- Participates in the quality assurance program.
- Assists with the development of new programs, expansion of outpatient services, and or enhancement of other services currently provided or anticipated.

Job Summary:
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting. Communicates with physicians/nurse manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
Characteristic job tasks and responsibilities:
- Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of the patient and their clinical condition.
- Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patients age.
- Ability to perform a head to toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes: pediatric, geriatric and the general patient population.
- Ability to revise plan of care as indicated by the patients response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness.
- Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate.
- Demonstrates ability to perform treatments and provide services to level of licensure.
