LECOM Health Corry Memorial Hospital is seeking a customer service-oriented employee to greet and assist patients and visitors, answer telephone, schedule appointments, file and collect payments in our rural health clinic.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1.  Greet all patients and visitors cheerfully.
  2. Answer telephone, triage calls, and maintain a log of same.
  3. Schedule appointments and referrals to other providers.
  4. Register patients, help with the completion of necessary forms, and direct to the appropriate staff person if needed.
  5. Complete encounter forms upon arrival and checkout.
  6. Prepare EHR/Pull charts of the patients to be seen the following day.
  7. Provide Physician, Mid-level Practitioner, clinical assistants, and Office Manager with copy of daily schedule each morning.
  8. Collect fees from patients for services rendered, if due, and also any outstanding balance.
  9. Reconcile receipts at end of day and prepare deposits.
  10. Maintain neat, clean, and professional work area.
  11. Always keep all patient information confidential.
  12. Maintain established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.
  13. Assist in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Alert Office Manager to any equipment malfunction.
  14. Attend in-services and other required meetings.
  15. Enhance professional growth and development through in-service meetings, educational programs, etc.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by Office Manager and/or Medical Director.

Job Summary:

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical and/or emergency setting. ATHLETIC TRAINER

Position Description — NON‑EXEMPT

OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF JOB

The Athletic Trainer assists in the oversight and delivery of comprehensive health care services for athletes within the guidelines established by LECOM Health Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. This hybrid role includes sports medicine game coverage, athletic training room availability, and orthopedic sports medicine clinic patient care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

  • Distribute and collect required health documentation for athlete participation.
  • Monitor pre‑existing health conditions of involved athletes.
  • In the absence of a physician’s order, assist with decisions regarding athlete participation.
  • Assist sports medicine physicians with the care and evaluation of injuries for all sports sponsored by LECOM.
  • Provide game coverage for assigned sports.
  • Assist with recommendations regarding equipment and supplies.
  • Consult in the purchase and fitting of protective equipment and devices.
  • Support learning experiences for health professional trainees and, where appropriate, athletic training students.
  • Assist in formulating and monitoring treatment and rehabilitation plans.
  • Guide athletes regarding the need for physician referral.
  • Coordinate insurance information with the Business Office as related to injuries sustained during athletics.
  • Support the mission and vision of LECOM Health.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Certificates & Licenses

  • Certification in First Aid and CPR by the American Red Cross required.
  • Minimum one year of BOC certification preferred.

SUMMARY: Produces high quality mammograms using specialized imaging equipment to detect breast abnormalities.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  2. Positions patients in accordance with established imaging protocols and performs high quality mammograms. Explain the mammography procedure to patients, ensuring they understand the process and feel comfortable.
  3. Operate and maintain mammography machines, perform quality control checks to ensure optimal performance.
  4. Correlate patient’s clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for reference use.
  5. Provide superior patient care through explanation of procedures and assist with any questions or needs
  6. Selects exposure factors following ALARA standards for optimal image quality using minimal radiation exposure.
  7. Minimizes radiation exposure to self, patients, and others by use of shielding, distance, collimation, and minimizing repeat exposures.
  8. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging procedures.
  9. Strong knowledge of mammography procedures and radiation safety measures.
  10. Maintains equipment in efficient and safe operating order through visual and performance checks of equipment, supplies, and accessories; problem solves equipment failure and imaging quality and contacts service representative regarding equipment problems.

Job Summary:

To register patients throughout all departments of Corry Memorial Hospital in compliance with the LECOM Health Corry Memorial Hospital policies and procedures.

  • Register patients and update existing patient demographics by collecting detailed information including personal and financial information along with correct system information.
  • Confirm and verify insurance benefits with the appropriate carrier via eligibility verification and/or appropriate insurance websites.
  • Scan insurance card, driver’s license and order(s).
  • Print face sheet(s), labels and apply arm bands on patients.
  • Validate physician’s order for all appropriate information.
  • Contact physician’s office if there is no order on file/or need new standing order.
  • Collect any co-payments due.
  • Complete all applicable forms and necessary communications while obtaining signature for consent to treatment and financial responsibility, HIPPA and Photo Consents.
  • Notify departments of patient’s arrival.
  • Direct patients to appropriate department for testing.
  • File orders in drawer alphabetically as they come in from fax machine.

  • Perform Cashier functions by collecting co-payments, counting cash drawer, providing change.
  • Assist with outpatient registration, obtaining medical records, all intercoms, switch board after departmental business hours, and paging of physicians.
  • Provide Clerical Assistance for the Emergency Department by scanning, filing, obtaining records, and completing tear down chart
  • Distribute OBS Brochures as necessary.
  • Assist Emergency Room Nurse and Physician as requested; such as assisting patients per RN or Physician instruction, obtaining wheelchairs, collecting urine specimens, cleaning beds, and copying charts for transfers.
  • Assist Ambulance Service as needed; such as answering phone, open/close garage door, meet as they arrive, answer Ambulance Med patch.
  • Set up arrangements for transfer by calling Transfer Center as well as helicopter transports.
  • Monitor panel alarms and security cameras.
  • Announce Fire Alarms.
  • Notify departments of Cardiac Arrest.

General Summary:
