DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare, review, and transmit facility and professional claims using billing software and clearinghouse, including electronic and paper claim processing within payer filing limits.
- Ensure rejected claims are reviewed, corrected, and reprocessed timely.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and contact payers on various issues within standard billing cycle timeframe.
- Review payments for accuracy; be able to spot check for 100% reimbursement on charges, and excessively low payment.
- Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurance payers as appropriate.
- Answers all patients, providers, or insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts and work to resolve them effectively.
- Timely follow up on insurance claim denials, exceptions or exclusions.
- Stays informed on local regulations and changes in billing requirements.
- Make necessary arrangements for medical record requests, completion of additional information requests, appeals, etc. as requested by insurance companies.
- Regularly meet with Patient Accounting Leader to discuss and resolve reimbursement issues or billing obstacles.
- Regularly attend department huddles and meetings.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
Minimum Education:
Minimum of associate degree required.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of one to three years of experience in medical or hospital billing, hospital billing preferred.
Minimum Skills:
- Demonstrate reliability and a sense of urgency in completing tasks quickly and in a timely manner.
- Excellent customer service skills. Conceptual understanding of financial record keeping and medical billing procedures.
- Competent use of computer systems, software (including Microsoft Office), and 10 key calculators.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team at the LECOM Senior Living Center. 1. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
2. Reviews outpatient medical record to assign the appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes.

4. Enters additional charges from ancillary system to host system.
5. Initiates physician queries where appropriate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs daily posting of payments, imports remits and reconciles payments.
- Stays current with payer requirements for billing and shares best practices. Is involved with root cause analysis of denied claims and communicates trends and suggestions for improvement.
- Imports claims into the clearinghouse and review claims to achieve clean claims.
- Processes and corrects insurance denials. Works Accounts Receivable account aging to achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided. Documents all efforts on patient accounts.
- Scans documentation into the archiving system for storage.
- Provides customer service to internal and external customers regarding claims and insurance processing. Works with departments to resolve and avoid denials and appeals. Collaborates with team members to make process decisions.

SUMMARY: Plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone disease, to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability by performing the following duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Reviews Physician’s referral (prescription) and patient’s condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required.
2. Tests and measures patient’s strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency, and records findings to develop or revise treatment.
3. Plans and prepares written treatment program based on evaluation of patient data.
4. Administers manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
5. Instructs, motivates, and assists patient to perform various physical activities and in use of assistant and supportive devices such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
6. Administers treatments involving application of physical agents.
7. Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatment to achieve maximum benefit.
8. Administers massage. Administers traction to relieve pain.
9. Records treatment, response, and progress in patient’s chart or enters information into computer.
10. Instructs patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.
11. Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends modification to Orthotist.
12. Confers with Physician and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information, suggests revisions in treatment programs, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patient’s health care.
13. Orients, instructs, and directs work activities of assistants, aides, and students.
14. Plans and conducts lectures and training programs on physical therapy and related topics for medical staff, students, and community groups.
15. Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

We are seeking a dedicated Neuropsychologist to join our growing team to utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and approaches to provide essential counseling and treatment services to individuals in need due to memory disorders, traumatic brain injury or neurodegenerative disorders.
This position would provide these services primarily at the four Skilled Nursing Facilities of LECOM Institute for Successful Living located in Erie, PA as well as provide coverage at our four Personal Care Homes.
Duties
- Perform evaluations that combine tests of behavior, cognition, and emotional functioning.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine needs, provide treatment recommendations and develop appropriate care plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions
- Implement behavioral therapy interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in case management activities to support patients' well-being
- Manage and update patient records accurately
Qualifications
- Licensed Psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania
- Doctoral degree in Psychology or Neuropsychology from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association

$6,500 Sign on Bonus with 2 years or more experience
$5,200 Sign on Bonus with less than 2 years of experience
REQUIRED: Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with hospital standards. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental objectives, and infection control policies. Cleans and prepares rooms between procedures and after terminal cleaning. Monitors and restocks supplies. Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel. Demonstrates sensitivity to patient’s comfort and privacy and expresses interest in their progress. Monitors emotional stability of patients and reports changes to physician or charge nurse. Assists physicians with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care. Performs basic nursing procedures including thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, and application of simple dressings, perennial care, and urine tests. Prepares, hangs, monitors and discontinues I.V. fluids.
