Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and hardworking Seasonal Groundskeeper to join our Facilities team. This role is essential in ensuring that our campus remains safe, attractive, and welcoming year-round. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining outdoor spaces, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

*This is a season PRN/Per Diem position for the 2026-2027 winter season.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain all outdoor grounds, including lawns, gardens, walkways, courtyards, and parking areas
• Perform routine landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, planting, mulching, and weeding
• Assist with seasonal duties including snow removal, salting, leaf cleanup, and storm debris management
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively
• Monitor outdoor areas for safety hazards and address or report issues promptly
• Support special projects, events, and facility needs as assigned
• Uphold the mission and values of Saint Mary’s and the LECOM Institute for Successful Living

Qualifications

• Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must have snow plow experience
• Basic knowledge of lawn care equipment and tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment or materials as needed
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license, with clean driving record is required
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
