Urology Physician Assistant (PA)/Nurse Practitioner (NP)

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Urology team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our board-certified urologists to provide high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals with urologic conditions. This role includes outpatient clinic responsibilities, inpatient rounding, assisting with minor office procedures, and patient education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive histories, physical exams, and assessments of patients with urologic conditions.
- Diagnose and manage common urologic disorders under the supervision of a urologist.
- Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests such as labs, imaging, and urodynamics.
- Perform and assist with office procedures, such as catheterizations, cystoscopies, bladder scans, and injections.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education, wound care, and suture/staple removal.
- Round on hospitalized urology patients, assist with inpatient consults, and communicate with hospital staff.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Participate in multidisciplinary care coordination with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, medications, and preventative care.
- Collaborate on quality improvement and clinical best practices initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education & Licensure:
- Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program
- Current and unrestricted PA or NP license in PA
- NCCPA certification (PA) or national board certification (NP)
- Current DEA license
- BLS certification
