Erie, Pa. (September 9, 2025) – LECOM Health held a ribbon cutting ceremony today to
officially open the new Rural Health Clinic of Meadville, located at 16954 Conneaut Lake
Road in Meadville.
This new clinic marks a significant step in LECOM Health’s mission to expand access to
high-quality medical care in rural communities that have traditionally faced barriers to
healthcare.
“LECOM believes that every individual deserves access to high-quality health care, no
matter where they live,” said James Lin, D.O., President of LECOM Institute for
Successful Living. “We are proud to bring these services to the Meadville community,
ensuring that residents don’t have to travel far to receive the care they need.”
The clinic is staffed by a dedicated team of physicians, including James Lin, D.O.,
Fernando Melaragno, D.O., Anthony Colonna, D.P.M., and Carleen Cho, M.D. Services
offered at the location include geriatric medicine, internal medicine, endocrinology,
primary care, and podiatry.
With the opening of the Rural Health Clinic of Meadville, LECOM now operates six rural
health clinics across the region. LECOM’s investment in rural healthcare aligns with
national strategies to close the rural-urban health gap. Studies show that rural residents
are more likely to suffer from preventable diseases like diabetes and heart disease and
are less likely to receive timely care due to physician shortages and limited local services.
By establishing this clinic, LECOM is actively helping to alleviate some of these disparities
and advance healthcare equity in the region.
The Rural Health Clinic of Meadville will begin seeing patients on October 1. Clinic hours
will be Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Appointments can be scheduled
by calling (814) 200-9904. For more information, visit LECOMHealth.com.
