CORRY, PA (June 15, 2022) — LECOM Health Corry Memorial Hospital recognized Robert C. Joy for 47 years of dedicated service to the Corry Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees in a memoriam ceremony yesterday.
Joy served on the board from 1975-2022 as a member, president and chairman of many committees. God, faith, family, friends and Corry Memorial Hospital were Robert C. Joy’s treasured possessions.
“Bob was instrumental in Corry having a modern, state-of-the-art hospital and was always proud of our accomplishments through the years,” said Barbara D. Nichols, president and chief executive officer of Corry Memorial Hospital. “He was always concerned about the people living in Corry and nearby communities having access to the hospital and quality health care. We, his hospital family, are grateful for the years Bob guided our hospital journey. His dedication and foresight have built the foundation of our hospital for years to come.”
Jasen Diley, vice president of affiliated services at LECOM Health, also shared some personal stories about Joy during the ceremony. Surrounded by hospital employees and current board members, Nichols and Diley then unveiled a dedication plaque that will hang permanently in the hospital lobby and presented Joy’s family with their own copies.
