- Performs dispensing functions in the intravenous admixture program. Technicians aseptically prepare IV compounded sterile products such as antibiotics, total parenteral nutrition, and other IV admixtures as needed. All solutions are aseptically prepared, verified by a pharmacist, labeled and delivered in a prompt manner.
- Accurately and efficiently performs prescriptions order entry. Appropriate records of charges are accurately maintained and filed.
- Ability to keep an up to date inventory and place orders when appropriate.
- Perform billing and claims adjudication in a timely manner and to the best knowledge of the patients coverage.
- Effectively communicates with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, other technicians, facility personnel, and patients.
- Maintains a neat, clean, orderly, and well-stocked work area in the packaging, intravenous admixture, and nursing office areas.

The LECOM Institute for Successful Living is looking to hire a Full Time Billing/Accounts Receivable Clerk to process facility insurance claims to join our growing finance team in Erie, PA. Experience in billing skilled care and Medicaid billing preferred, but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Stays current with payer requirements for billing and shares best practices. Is involved with root cause analysis of denied claims and communicates trends and suggestions for improvement.
- Processes and corrects insurance denials. Works Accounts Receivable account aging to achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided. Documents all efforts on patient accounts.
- Provides customer service to internal and external customers regarding claims, resident statements, and insurance processing. Works with departments to resolve and avoid denials and appeals. Collaborates with team members to make process decisions.
- Works with customers regarding billing questions.
- Works willingly and accepts assignments as given.
- Participates in opportunities that enhance personal and professional growth.
- Complies with the Corporate Compliance Policy and all laws, regulations, and Standards of Conduct relating to the position and agrees to report any suspected violations of law or Standards of Conduct.
- Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Maintains the confidentiality of patient, resident, employee and organizational information.

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Physical Therapy Assistant degree from an accredited institution required.

- Must also possess and independent supervision license.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, the Floor Technician performs a wide variety of housekeeping duties focusing on proper floor cleaning in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment; and perform related work as required.
CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Vacuum rooms, common areas, halls and office with carpeting;
- Sweeps and mops tile and linoleum floors;
- Strips and waxes floors according to schedule, where applicable;
- Buffs floors, where applicable;
- Cleans dining room floors after meals and special events;
- Cleans common area floors, including break room;
- Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures;
- Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, and/or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; refill restroom dispensers;

- Gather census information from admissions and reported changes during the morning “stand up” meeting
