Intensive Behavioral Health Services
Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) are designed to provide supports and services for children, youth and their families who are experiencing mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs. Services include intensive interventions to address these needs in the home, school, and community. The Achievement Center of LECOM Health is licensed to provide both Individual Services and Applied Behavioral Analysis Services within IBHS.

Services Include:
Individual Services
Therapeutic interventions and supports used to reduce and manage a youth’s needs. They help increase coping strategies and support skill development to promote positive behaviors.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Services
Involve the review of a youth’s behavior within his/her environment. Services explore why a behavior occurs and then uses specific interventions to address behavior. ABA Services seek to increase useful or desired behaviors.

Referral Process:
- A written order that complies with IBHS regulations is necessary for services to be initiated. However, a psychological or psychiatric evaluation can be used in place of a written order provided the evaluation includes all regulatory elements that must be in the written order.
- Written orders must be completed by a psychiatrist, psychologist, PA, RNP, LCSW, LPC or LMFT who is enrolled as an ordering, referring, and prescribing provider and is also PROMISe enrolled.
