Home care services also can reduce the length and cost of hospital stays. Who qualifies for home care services? Persons eligible for home care are those in need of skilled health care services, including nursing, physical therapy and speech therapy. Usually, the patients are confined to their homes by illness or injury or can leave only for short periods of time with the assistance of another person.
