The LECOM Institute for Successful Living has an immediate opening for a full-time Nurse Aide Training Program Instructor/Educator (NATCEP). Candidates must possess a valid PA nursing license (RN or LPN). The selected individual will serve as an instructor in a regular classroom and clinical setting, presenting instructions in a state approved Nurse Aide Training Program. The position follows the student from application, through the courses, and provides support through the state examination process, but also acts as an educator for existing and previous Nurse Aide graduates.

TYPICAL DUTIES INCLUDE:

We are seeking a Full Time Vascular Ultrasound Tech for a Multi-Specialty Primary Care office who is responsible to perform non-invasive and general ultrasound procedures that require independent judgement and operation of sonographic equipment while providing optimal service outcomes and hospitality to the patients we serve. Will also be responsible to communicate results of diagnostic examinations including Echocardiograms, Arterial, Venous and Cartoid ultrasounds. Responsible for daily operations of the sonographic laboratory, patient schedule, equipment maintenance, report of equipment issues, and quality assessments.

Summary:

The Infection Control Nurse performs facility-wide surveillance and data collection as part of an overall infection-control program. He or She would be responsible to investigate possible incidences of infection and implements remedial action, as well as, working with the infection control committee to establish infection control standards and procedures, and educates staff on how to prevent and control infections. The Infection Control Nurse also informs the appropriate state and county organizations of any reportable infections and diseases.

TUITION REIMBURSEMENT:

The RN and LPN Tuition Reimbursement Program was created to assist LECOM Health employees by offsetting a portion of their educational expenses. Registered Nurses or Licensed Practical Nurses may be eligible for tuition reimbursement up to a maximum of $22,000.*

The LECOM Institute for Successful Living, is seeking a Full Time 2nd Shift CNA and/or Med Tech to work varying shifts in our independent living, apartment style, personal care facility - LECOM at Elmwood Gardens, located at 2628 Elmwood Ave.

Summary:

Personal Care Aides are responsible to provide personal care including but not limited to bathing, shampooing, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, laundry, kitchen help, and serving meals.

May include Medication Pass duties, once certified.

*LECOM may offer Med Tech training to qualified candidates.

Qualifications Include:

• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must maintain current certifications in CPR and First Aid.
• Previous Healthcare experience preferred.
• Medication Pass Certification is a plus.

THE LECOM INSTITUTE FOR SUCCESSFUL LIVING IS SEEKING AN INTERIM LICENSED NURSING HOME ADMINISTRATOR (LNHA) TO FILL THE KEY POSITION IN ONE OF OUR SKILLED NURSING FACILITIES, LOCATED IN ERIE PA.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for overall facility management, profitability, operations, and direction in all aspects. Accountable for, but not limited to, census development, management of accounts receivable and collections, maximization of Net Operating Income, resident/patient care, state and federal survey compliance, positive employee relations, a positive return on investment, an effective business plan and implementation of core programs. Designated the representative in the facility and community. Follows all policies and procedures. Completes rounds of entire facility premises at least daily to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations. Hands-on involvement with the Social Services department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience equivalent to:

• A Bachelor’s degree from a CAHME (Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education) accredited institution in health administration, public administration, long-term care administration, or other relevant fields.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Must have successfully completed and passed the PA Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) exam.
• Completion of Board Approved internship in a medical setting or 3+ years experienced required.
• Completion of 800-1,000 hours Administrator-in-Training (AIT) preferred.
• Must complete required 48 hours of continuing education using web-based training approved by the NAB.
