Staff Accountant

The LECOM Institute for Successful Aging is seeking a Full Time Staff Accountant.

This position is located at 5535 Peach St, Erie PA 16509.

Duties Include:

  • Audit cash postings and reconcile bank statement to General Ledger entries
  • Summarize rental activity for all housing units tracking prepaid and delinquent payments.
  • Track and maintain amortization schedules for all fixed assets
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns
  • Interface AP/AR to GL module post batches
  • Perform cost analysis of expenses to budget
  • Assist with monthly and year end journal entries and close functions
  • Assist with annual audits for CMS, payroll, and other financial request.
  • Assist with updating dashboards and KPI tracking

Skills/knowledge

  • Must have intermediate excel knowledge; as well as a desire to work with formulas, pivot tables and large volumes of data. Must be able to gain working ability quickly in a variety of web based platforms, and be comfortable navigating simultaneously in a variety of software systems.
  • Must display eagerness to learn, willingness to help colleagues in a progressive and fast paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, task oriented, and self-motivated qualities are required along with a personal approach that is patient focused and characterized by superior customer service.
