Your kindness is greatly appreciated in making Helen’s 103rd birthday so special- Helen’s Family

Our dear mother, Rose was a resident at Millcreek Manor for about one and a half years, after being cared for at home for many years. It was so hard to make the transitions, until we meet the good people from the Manor. We felt a real sense of family with the wonderful caregivers and their personnel at the nursing home. They were so understanding and kind to all of us. They addressed problems and concerns quickly and efficiently, never making us feel like our requests were unreasonable. Physicians and therapy care were available timely and correctly. The dietary and housekeeping staff always went the extra mile for our mother’s comfort. In all areas, the expertise in caring for an Alzheimer’s patient and family of an Alzheimer’s patient was exceptional. Because of this, the staff was able to meet our changing needs successfully. Words can’t express our gratitude.

My sister and I just wanted to let you and the other staff members know how thankful we are concerning our dad, Rodger Cheney. A little over a week ago my day had called me and said that he went on a dinner date. I was very intrigued, he continued to tell me that two of the nurses took him to dinner in the cafe area and he had fish and salad and some of the best company. We did find out that these two wonderful ladies were Stacy and Kristen. Having them take the time to do that was way above and beyond their job. We greatly appreciated their kindness. It had such a positive effect on our dad. You don’t see that type of compassion every day, but from those two girls that night was just priceless.

Sincerely grateful, Karen S. and JoAnn F.

My family is so pleased with our Dad’s move to and the transition to the Millcreek Manor in February 2015. It was very smooth and well handled. Everyone was very professional and pleasant. I am very impressed with how well the whole process went, and am at peace that my Dad is receiving the best care. Since his admission, Dad has become more alert and responsive, and is doing well. It is so good to see him smiling again, and enjoying what he is still able to do. Everyone has demonstrated that they enjoy their work, and they are doing their best, and it shows. Our family realizes that Dad is progressing in his years and condition, and we are very grateful for the quality of care he is now receiving.

Thank You – Heidi
